Port Blair is the capital city of the Andaman and Nicobar

Islands, a union territory of India in the Bay of Bengal.

Port Blair is also famous for the historic Cellular Jail and other small islands like Corbyn's Cove, Wandoor, Ross Island, Viper Island which were once home to British colonists.

Port Blair has been selected as one of the cities to be developed as a smart city under the Smart Cities Mission.

Commonly known as Beach No. 7, Radhanagar has been given the title of the best beach in Asia and the 7th best beach in the world by Time Magazine in 2004.

The beach is also included in the Top 25 beaches in Asia by Traveler's Choice Awards in 2016.
